Can I upgrade to Dropbox Professional on the Google Play Store?

Currently, you can't upgrade from Dropbox Plus to Dropbox Professional directly on the Play Store.

However, there is a work around that would still allow you to upgrade to Dropbox Professional. It involves canceling your Google Play Dropbox Plus subscription, and allowing it to downgrade to Dropbox Basic. Once this is done you can then upgrade to Professional.

  1. Open the the Play Store app on your phone or tablet, and be sure you're signed in with the same account you used when you installed the Dropbox mobile app.
  2. Click Account.
  3. Click Subscriptions.
  4. Find the listing for Dropbox, and turn off auto-renewal for your subscription. Your Plus subscription will then end at the next billing period.
    • For example, if your normal billing date is the first of each month, your Plus subscription would end on the first day of the month after you cancel.
  5. Check your Dropbox account after this date to verify it was downgraded to a Basic account.
    • This can take a few days during the normal course of business operations. You aren't charged for the time it takes our system to reflect the new Basic plan.
  6. Once your account is downgraded to a Basic plan, visit the Dropbox purchase page to buy a Professional subscription.
