Customize account invoices

Some Dropbox customers can edit the information on billing invoices. The following information is editable:

  • Billing name
  • Billing address, city, and state
  • VAT ID (only for future invoices, and where VAT is applicable)

Invoice customization is available to the following:

  • Dropbox Professional users
  • Dropbox Business admins (for Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise plans)

Note: Invoice customization is not available for Dropbox Plus users.

Dropbox Professional users: edit the information on future invoices

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Billing.
  4. Beside Invoice details, click either Update or Add invoice details.
  5. You can then change the billing name, billing address, city, state, and VAT ID.
  6. Once you're done editing, click Save changes.

Notes:

  • Professional users cannot change billing information on past invoices
  • If you edit a VAT ID, any applicable tax rate changes will only be applied to future bills
  • If you have a new tax rate and you'd like a refund for a previous bill, please contact Dropbox support

Dropbox Business admins: edit the information on past or future invoices

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com with your admin account.
  2. Click Admin Console.
  3. Click Billing.
  4. Click Billing history.
    • To edit a past invoice: Locate the invoice you'd like to change, and click Edit beside it
    • To edit a future invoice: Click Edit invoice details in the right sidebar
  5. You can then change the billing name, billing address, city, state and, when applicable, VAT ID.
  6. Once you're done editing, click Save changes.

Notes:

  • You cannot change the country code, postal code, or VAT ID on past invoices
  • If you edit a VAT ID, any applicable tax rate changes will only be applied to future bills
  • To change the country code, postal code, or VAT ID on your payment information, edit your account payment method
  • If you have a new tax rate and you'd like a refund for a previous bill, please contact Dropbox support using the contact info found in the Admin Console
