Control who can invite people to a shared folder

If you're the owner of a shared folder, you can prevent editors in the folder from inviting other people to the folder.

From dropbox.com

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click Files.
  3. Click Sharing.
  4. Scroll to the Folders in your Dropbox section.
  5. Find the folder in the list. Click ... (ellipsis icon), then select Folder settings.
  6. Under Management: Who can manage access to this folder? choose Only owners.

From your desktop

On some computers you can control who can invite people to a shared folder from the Dropbox desktop app. If you haven't already, download the desktop app.

Mac

  1. Right-click the shared folder.
  2. Select Manage Access…
  3. In the webpage that opens, click Folder settings.
  4. Under Who can manage membership of this folder? choose Only owners.

Windows

  1. Right-click the shared folder.
  2. Select Manage Access...
  3. In the webpage that opens click Folder settings.
  4. Under Who can manage membership of this folder? choose Only owners.
