Role Description

We are looking for a Director, Executive Recruiting to manage a team responsible for senior-level and C-level hiring at Dropbox. Do you want to continue to grow an awesome team of Talent Scouts (aka Recruiters, Sourcers and Researchers) who are responsible for leading our company, culture and product? You will own hiring targets, partner with the business organization, and help us creatively evolve how we attract, hire and build an unforgettable experience for every candidate. You will be measured on your results, setting direction for the function, building our culture, living our values and attracting/retaining talent. We have awesome People dashboards, empower our teams to map the talent supply using market leading tools (e.g. LinkedIn Talent Insights and Gem) and are holistic partners to the business. Join us and report directly to the Global Head of Recruitment & HR Operations at Dropbox. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive global executive recruiting strategy including directly owning key searches in business, engineering, and product leadership positions
  • Close candidates by building personalized closing plans based on business’ needs, candidate’s desires and Dropbox’s value proposition
  • Own the long game in terms of nurturing talent over long periods of time understanding their next moves, motivations and where they might fit at Dropbox
  • Partner with other HR teams like Total Rewards, HRBP, People Analytics and Talent Management to deliver on our vision and close candidates
  • Understand and tell a story with data from pipeline to diversity; you get it and you frame your insights using it
  • You lead others with empathy, courage and candor helping them grow while holding them accountable to excellent results

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years recruiting experience with at least 5+ years of executive search (Director+)
  • Experience leading executive-level searches in technical and business disciplines
  • Experience working with C-level executives and VPs to solve hiring needs
  • Ability to manage multiple searches across a variety of functions at one time
  • Knowledge of market mapping of talent in key segments using tools like LinkedIn Talent Insights
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Strong networking capabilities, and deep professional network that you can tap to accelerate executive pipeline development
