Role Description

In this role, you will reimagine the new user experience for the millions of people signing up for Dropbox. Your work will help to define how people are introduced to Dropbox’s features and suite of products and should ultimately help to bring people to a better way of working. Your work will be critical in setting our users up for long-term success with our product.

As Group Product Manager leading one of Dropbox’s activation teams, you will be focused on defining and optimizing the initial experience users have with our product. You will be responsible for setting direction, driving the multi-year strategy, and assessing business impact, as well as hiring, managing and growing junior and senior PMs. You’ll be working with an amazing team of talented, passionate product managers, engineers, designers and marketers from across teams and functions.

You will have significant strategic impact and will be uniquely positioned and empowered to make a huge impact on the value Dropbox can provide to all types of users. The team is dedicated to helping our users realize the value of our product through simple and delightful experiences.


  • You will drive Dropbox’s strategy for Basic activation, spearheading key initiatives and driving cross-functional alignment and progress
  • You will grow and support a hardworking team of PMs who take pride in building high-quality high-impact products, embody Dropbox’s values, and have fun together
  • You will lead the cross-functional teams in your area, making trade-offs given product and business exigencies. Manage complex projects across multiple teams
  • You will collaborate with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Growth to ship new, impactful features that accelerate rapid experimentation
  • You will be a champion of Dropbox’s users. You'll deeply understand, document, analyze, and synthesize user needs into product priorities, roadmap plans, and detailed specifications
  • You will partner with teams across Dropbox to ensure our new user experience is reflective of our newest features and aligns with our overall strategy


  • 7+ years of experience building great software, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs, and strong motivation to tackle their problems
  • Proven leadership leading and growing a team of PM direct reports, including performance management. Experience with formal review cycles is a nice to have.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive experimentation to achieve impact on core metrics for a product at scale
  • Ability to define long-term business strategy, and drive impact on short-term product goals
  • Strong skills around cross-functional collaboration, influence, and communication; ability to achieve clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts
