Team Description

Our Business Strategy & Operations team sets and drives key business initiatives across the company. We complement and support product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams across three critical areas: corporate and business unit strategy, business planning and sales operations, and business systems and tools development.

Role Description

The Business Performance Manager partners closely with Dropbox leadership to drive operational excellence across various organizations and enable the company to run more efficiently. You will help track the progress of key company-wide initiatives and scale operations across Dropbox by helping to:
  • Drive the annual and multi-year strategic planning efforts for Dropbox
  • Build & establish operating cadences to track and measure company-wide goals
  • Ensure performance and headcount goals are met for key organizations in Dropbox

Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with Dropbox’s leadership to successfully drive annual strategic planning and long-term goals for teams across Dropbox
  • Conduct organizational reviews (QBRs) to examine strategic performance, evaluate operational effectiveness and identify areas needing further attention
  • Define, track & manage business scorecards and KPIs, including collecting data, and putting together presentations to represent the current status of initiatives and the business
  • Ensure that key milestones are met so that teams executes successfully against strategic roadmap
  • Mobilize and drive the team towards forward progress, action, and results
  • Drive project execution - structure complex problems, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses, synthesize insights and recommendations, and align cross-functional stakeholders
  • Influence decision making within Dropbox leadership through strong working relationships, effective communication, and compelling output

Requirements

  •  4+ years experience in business operations, management consulting, insights, or program management 
  • Experience developing operational processes for a customer-facing organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in building strong working relationships with senior executives
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage projects, and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Thrives in ambiguity and a rapidly evolving business landscape
  • Bachelor’s degree; M.B.A. or other advanced technical degree preferred
