Role Description

As Director of Product Management for the Cloud Docs PM team, you will be responsible for organizing the world’s cloud content in Dropbox. You will have significant strategic impact and influence, helping direct the company as a whole as we move into the next phase of growth. You will turn Dropbox from a file repository into rich content experience, making Dropbox relevant and differentiated as the world is shifting into the cloud. You will work with partners and understand their needs; design a platform that’s beneficial to users, partners and Dropbox; work with many internal teams including filesystem and sharing to align and get the platform built. It’s a great opportunity to work with an amazing team of talented, passionate product managers and leaders from across teams and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the cross-functional teams within Cloud Docs – in close partnership with engineering and design
  • Drive Dropbox’s long term Cloud Docs strategy to build a platform across Mobile, Desktop and Web to bring the world’s content into Dropbox — making Dropbox a unified & organized home for all your content
  • Partner closely with Business Development to work with external partners to design a scalable platform that works well for the partners, our users, and Dropbox
  • Work closely with our diverse internal partners across Product, Engineering, Product Analytics, Design Research, Customer Support, and Sales to deeply understand constraints on building & user needs
  • Be a champion of developers, especially in areas where platform decisions can have material user impact
  • Partner with Marketing and PR to share the impact of the team’s work with the world
  • Grow and support a talented team who embody Dropbox’s values, have fun together, and take pride in building wonderful products

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience building great software, with at least 5 of those in a Product Management role.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with engineers
  • Launched multiple successful products, preferably on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux and/or web)
  • Strong communication, influence and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to craft clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts
  • Ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
  • Proven leadership managing and growing a strong PM team
