Role description

We’re looking for an experienced Microcopy/UX Writer to join our design team in Tel Aviv. You’ll do content strategy and in-product writing to help design and launch new Dropbox products and features. 
 
You’ll be our first writer based in Tel Aviv, and you’ll have plenty of support. As a member of the Dropbox UX Writing team, you’ll workshop your words every week with writers in SF and NYC. And as a member of the Design team in Tel Aviv, you’ll join design sessions and help guide design decisions with your perspective. You’ll also be a part of user research sessions and join in on roadmap planning.

Apply if you have:

  • 4–6 years of professional writing experience
  • 2–3 years of microcopy/UX writing experience (UI writing, notifications, errors, tooltips, settings, and similar surfaces)
  • Native speaker–level English skills
  • A background in technical writing or experience writing for highly technical fields or complex enterprise systems using plain, clear language. 
  • Experience or interest in writing for projects like API documentation, release notes, and beta guides.
  • Ability to build language systems and vocabulary for new features
  • A portfolio of UX writing, or samples of microcopy/UX writing (please send with your application): onboarding, tooltips, buttons, emails, errors, settings, feature naming, or other user flows. Best if your portfolio includes at least one full user flow.
  • A collaborative, iterative working style
  • Experience partnering with designers, researchers, and product managers. 

Nice-to-have experience:

  • Working with remote teams and over VC
  • Creating information architecture and taxonomies
  • Conducting scrappy user research
  • presenting work and communicating a point of view
  • Partnering with engineers
