We’re responsible for maximizing our products' potential, in order to delight our users and help Dropbox grow. We partner with teams across the company, including Product, Sales, and Engineering.

Role Description

We’re looking for an exceptional Field Marketing Manager, Partners with the experience necessary to plan and execute initiatives that will drive growth of Dropbox Japan. Collaborating with internal marketing and sales teams, as well as directly with our distribution and resell partners, it will be your responsibility to implement the strategy and positioning of channel programs in your region, gain insights from the existing partner ecosystem, tailor to-partner and through-partner messaging for Japan market, and manage events/campaigns to maximize program potential. Field Marketing Manager, Partners, must have the skills to succeed in a fast-paced startup environment and drive team execution on a variety of tasks.



  • Drive awareness and revenue opportunities of Dropbox and its Partners through in-person events, webinars, digital campaigns, co-marketing initiatives and other field marketing-related activities
  • Contribute to user, market, and competitive research to better understand Dropbox distributors, DMR’s, VAR’s, MSP’s, channel partners, and ecosystem partners and the competitive market landscape in which they operate in Japan
  • Tailor value proposition of the Dropbox Partner Network for the Japan market and articulate its value in all regional partner-facing messaging
  • Closely collaborate with the Channel Sales team and the Business Development team in Japan to maximize the synergy in the cross-functional team environment and optimize the return on the campaigns you drive
  • Own and maintain the localization (L17n ≠ “translation”) process of marketing materials aligned with partners’ request in Japan by working closely with Partner Account Managers
  • Develop through-partner marketing campaigns that partners can easily leverage in their demand generation efforts
  • Collaborate closely with APAC and HQ marketing teams maintaining alignment between regional and global plans. 


  • Preferably field marketing or channel marketing experience in Japan or experience working with distributors/resellers in the marketing capacity.
  • Experience with cloud services or SaaS a plus, but not a must have.
  • Project management skills: can prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward, working across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to create effective marketing content tailored for various set of resellers, events and context
  • Track record of effectively delivering multiple and innovative projects in a fast-moving environment
  • Analytical skills and the ability to develop market insights, marketing strategy and analyze marketing effectiveness and ROI.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and visual
  • Japanese: Fluent; English: Business Proficient
