Role description

We’re looking for a skilled, supportive manager to join our writing leadership team. We’re proud to have one of the strongest UX writing teams out there, and we’d love your help writing our next chapter!


  • Manage and mentor several UX writers 
  • Work with writing leads to set strategy for our team 
  • Contribute to strategy and planning for your product groups
  • Keep our writing clear, consistent, human—and Dropboxy
  • Foster cohesive content design across products and platforms (web, desktop, mobile)
  • Work closely with product design, research, brand, engineering, product, and marketing leads and ICs

  • Writing! You’re clear, coherent, and on-point
  • Coaching writers in their craft and career goals
  • Developing and improving processes
  • Scoping and prioritizing projects 
  • Gracefully giving, interpreting, and responding to feedback
  • Embracing opportunities to work with cross-functional peers 
  • Creating a shared vision and ways to support it (forest and trees)
  • Helping your team keep an eye on the big picture (forest, not just trees)
  • Modeling maturity and work-life balance 


  • 7+ years writing or editorial experience
  • 3+ years of in-product writing experience
  • 2+ years managing people and initiatives  
  • Experience building editorial styles or language systems
  • Excellent communication skills, in person and over VC
  • A portfolio of UX writing (please send with your application)
