Our Communications team brings the Dropbox story to life and shares it with the world. From product announcements to user stories to speaking engagements, our work takes many forms and reaches diverse, international audiences. We build compelling narratives to help people connect with our product, brand, and vision.
Role Description
We’re looking for a self-motivated Communications Manager to support our external communications around our unique culture as part of our growing corporate communications team. You’ll play a key role driving our thought leadership around the future of work and culture and will support our DEI communications. You’ll be a critical partner to cross-functional teams across the company, including Virtual First, Talent Brand, DEI, social media and internal comms, and be an advisor to some of our most senior leaders. We’re a small but mighty team and this is a highly visible role that will enable you to make a tangible impact!
Responsibilities
- Support our external Virtual First, Talent Brand and DEI communications
- Run communications programs and announcements independently
- Deepen relationships with media and influencers
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support important company announcements and initiatives, both internally and externally
- Help develop thought leadership content and work with relevant teams to promote that content on the appropriate channels
- Be a trusted advisor to relevant company spokespeople and senior executives
Requirements
- 5+ years of communications experience, in-house or agency
- Exceptional writing skills
- Experience working on proactive thought leadership initiatives with a creative mindset
- Strong media and industry network
- Experience working for or with a public company a plus
- Proven ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in fast-paced, dynamic environments, as well as the ability to escalate appropriately
- Experience in integrated communications, and navigating a global organization
- Attention to detail, strong work ethic and a team player
- Work with senior executives and inspire confidence
