Role Description
Dropbox Tax has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Senior Tax Analyst - International to join the Dropbox Global Tax Reporting team. You'll be joining a fast-paced, dynamic multinational tech company and will gain experience in a wide range of tax disciplines. This amazing Global Tax Reporting - Senior Tax Analyst - International role will have an opportunity to work on a variety of International compliance and financial reporting processes and projects. Our ideal candidate brings enthusiasm for all things tax, is hands-on, analytical and enthusiastic, and has strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ASC 740 tax provision and tax accounting processes
- Review federal and international tax returns and estimates, ensuring timely payments
- Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and perform flux analyses
- Manage the tax calendar for our international compliance and tax provision process
- Collaborate with other teams including finance, accounting and treasury to evaluate the impact of events and transactions
- Assist with various international and global tax reporting projects and initiatives
- Track projects, timelines, and commitments on projects and deliverables
- Perform and document SOX controls
- Draft tax position documentation / technical analyses
- Support transformation efforts by surfacing ideas for process improvement and by implementing tax policies and processes
- Assist with ad hoc projects, as needed
Requirements
- 4+ years of international corporate tax experience in a public accounting firm or in-house tech company
- B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting; Advanced degree and/or C.P.A. preferred
- Working tax accounting knowledge and ability to research and provide insights on tax issues
- Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities
- You sweat the details and can drive projects to completion
- Experience with non-income tax matters is a plus
- Intermediate+ level experience with Excel
- Strong collaboration / teaming skills to partner with cross-functional teams
- Strong prioritization, project management, and organizational skills including an ability to synthesize complex tax matters into simple, concise communications
- Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities
- Energetic self-starter with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment - independently and as part of of a team
- Responsive and collaborative team player with ability to work effectively and partner well with people at all levels and all functions across Dropbox
