How do I opt out of Dropbox email newsletters and tips?

At Dropbox, we make every effort to make the few email campaigns we have useful and targeted to your specific situation. We try to ensure you're contacted only occasionally. However, if you'd rather not receive any future contact from us, it's easy to opt out of our email newsletters and/or tips.

Change your newsletter and tips settings

  1. Sign in to the Dropbox website.
  2. Click on your name from the top of any page to open the account menu.
  3. Select Settings from the account menu.
  4. Go to the Account Settings tab, or click here for a shortcut.
  5. The Email Preferences section of the settings page lets you to choose which emails you receive. Opt out of Dropbox email newsletters and tips by unchecking the boxes next to the corresponding options.
  6. Click the Change settings button to save your changes.

Change your security email notification preferences

  1. Click on your name from the top of any page to open the account menu.
  2. Select Settings from the account menu.
  3. Go to the Security tab, or click here for a shortcut.
  4. The Notifications section of the Security tab lets you choose which emails you receive. Opt out of being notified when a computer is linked to your account or when a new third-party app is connected to your account by unchecking the boxes next to the corresponding options.
  5. Click the Change settings button to save your changes.

Once you opt out of email newsletters and/or tips, you'll no longer receive those emails from Dropbox.

Dropbox for Business users

If you update your settings when you’re signed in to both a personal and work account online, those settings will apply to both accounts.
