How much space does my Dropbox account have left?

The fastest way to check how much space you have left on your Dropbox is from your account menu on the Dropbox website:

Personal Dropbox: Check my available storage

Dropbox Business: Check my available storage

If you've run out of space, consider upgrading.

  1. Sign in to the Dropbox website.
  2. Click on your name from the top of any page to open the account menu.
  3. The bar under your email address represents your Dropbox space usage. You can click on Settings for more details, or click the shortcut here.

For our advanced users

Dropbox's performance may start to decline when you store above 300,000 files. At that point you may observe some slowness. We're currently working hard optimizing Dropbox to better handle accounts with unusually large numbers of files.
