How to change the payment method for Dropbox subscriptions

After switching payment methods, you will be charged a pro-rated amount based on the time remaining from your previous subscription.

Dropbox Plus and Professional accounts

Plus and Professional accounts can pay using PayPal and credit card. To change your payment method:

  1. Sign in to
  2. Click the avatar at the top of any page.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Billing.
  5. Click Update on the Payment method tab.
  6. Select your new payment method and enter the requested information.

Note: If your payment method is Mobile, you won't be able to change it using the instructions above. Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to manage your subscription.

Dropbox Business accounts

Dropbox Business team admins can pay using PayPal, credit card, or bank wire if your team has more than 15 licenses. To change the payment method for your team:

  1. Sign in to with your admin account.
  2. Click Admin Console.
  3. Select the Billing tab.
  4. Click Payment method.
  5. Choose Update.
  6. Select your new payment method and enter the requested information.
  7. Click Save settings.

Note: Dropbox Business accounts can have any number of team admins, each able to update and change billing information. However, team admins can't see the billing information of other admins. All sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, are left blank for any user other than the one who entered the information in the first place.
