What is a pending or invalid invite?

Pending invite

Unaccepted invites to join your Dropbox Business team are called "pending invites". While a team member is pending, you can add them to shared folders and groups.

Send reminders for all pending invites

  1. Sign in to your admin account at dropbox.com.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Admin Console.
  3. Click Dashboard in the sidebar.
  4. Under Pending invites, click Send reminders.
  5. In the pop-up window, enter a message, and click Send message.

Everyone with a pending invite will receive an email with your message and a link to join the team.

Resend an invite to an individual

If you want to send an individual reminder or resend an invite to just one person at a time, you can do that from the Members page.

  1. Sign in to your admin account at dropbox.com.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Admin Console.
  3. On the Members tab, click the gear icon for a person who appears in gray and has Invited status.
  4. Select Resend invite from the menu.
  5. In the pop-up window, click Resend invite.

The invite will be sent to that person's email address again.

Invalid invite

Invites with the phrase "invalid" next to it mean that the team member's email address may have changed since you sent the invitation.

Cancel an invite

If you want to cancel a pending invite, you can delete that pending member from the Members tab.

If you added files to a pending member account, or added them to shared folders or groups, you can transfer their account to another team member.

If this user already had a Dropbox account, their existing account isn't affected when you delete their invite. However, they won't be able to use the invite you sent them to join your team.

Note: You can't suspend or use remote wipe on a pending account.
