The new homepage: an overview

This article discusses a feature that is currently in Early Access for Dropbox Business teams and is available to a limited number of Plus and Basic customers.    

What does it mean for a Dropbox product to be in "alpha" or "beta?"

View your files and activity in one place on the new dropbox.com and the Dropbox iPhone app homepage. With the homepage, you can:

  • View activity from both Dropbox and Paper
  • Favorite files and Paper docs for quick access
  • See recent Dropbox and Paper activity from your team members

Select the system you’re using to learn more:

Unread

View new activity since the last time you used Dropbox or Paper. This includes your team’s recent activity, when someone @mentions you, and any comment threads you’re involved in.

Dismiss unread notifications by following these steps:

  1. Hover over the notification.
  2. Click Mark as read.

Starred

Files and Paper docs you marked as a favorite. Files and docs you favorite sync across your Dropbox account.

Recently viewed

Files and Paper docs that you recently viewed or edited, in the order that you accessed them.

iPhone

Notifications

View new activity since the last time you used Dropbox or Paper. This includes your team’s recent activity, when someone @mentions you, and any comment threads you’re involved in.

Unread notifications are shown with blue dot. Mark a notification as read by clicking the notification.

Uploads

View and manage pending uploads from the mobile app. If you open the Uploads widget, you can cancel pending uploads by tapping Cancel or tapping Cancel All to cancel all pending uploads.

Starred

Files and Paper docs you marked as a favorite. Files and docs you favorite sync across your Dropbox account.

Recents

Files and Paper docs that you recently viewed or edited, in the order that you accessed them.

Click View all to see all your recent activity.
