Customize the layout of a showcase

The content in your showcase is split up by sections. Sections help you organize the content in your showcase, and move items around in bulk. In edit mode, sections are separated by a dotted line and labeled in the upper left corner (Section 1, Section 2, etc…).

Create or delete a section in a showcase

To create a new section in a showcase, click the “+” (plus) at the top left of the showcase, and then click Insert section.

Note: You can also click the Insert section icons to the left of a section and at the bottom of a showcase.

To delete a section, click the Delete this section and its contents icon (it looks like a trash can) in the top right of the section.

Add content to a section in a showcase

To add content to a section in your showcase:

  1. Hover over a section.
  2. Click the plus (+) icon that appears to the left.
  3. Select from the options in the toolbar.

To arrange content in a section, drag-and-drop each item.

Change the order of sections in a showcase

Click-and-hold the grab icon (it looks like five stacked lines) to the left of the section name (Section 1, Section 2, etc…), and then drag-and-drop the section to a new position in the showcase.

Edit the size and position of items in bulk in a showcase

The Items per row slider (in the upper right of a section) allows you to increase and decrease the number of items per row in a section. It can also be used to:

  • Change the size and position of all items that have been placed into the row
  • Vary the amount of items in rows throughout your showcase (for example, a row of two items directly above a row of three items)

Note: This works for files, images, and web links, but does not work for text blocks.

You can add an item to a row in three ways:

  • Drag-and-drop an item into a row
  • Click an item, so it’s highlighted, and then click the Resize item to row icon in the toolbar
  • Add an item to your showcase

Note: You can also edit the size and position of items individually.

You can change the size and position of a group of items in your showcase, at the same time, even if they are not in the same row or the same section.

Note: This works for files, images, and web links, but does not work for text blocks.

To edit multiple items in bulk:

  1. Hover over one of the files you’d like to edit, so it’s highlighted.
  2. Click the checkbox in the upper left corner of the file.
  3. Click the checkboxes of every other file you’d like to include in your bulk edit.
  4. Choose an option from the toolbar or drag-and-drop the items to a new location in your showcase.

Edit the size and position of an individual item in a showcase

You can drag-and-drop any piece of content in your showcase to any new location, and then edit its size and position.

To edit the size and position of an individual item, click the item, so it’s highlighted, and then choose from the options in the toolbar.

Note: If you drag-and-drop an item into a row of items, that item will correspond to the size and position of the other items in that section, which can be edited in bulk. If you drag-and-drop the item from a row to a new area, it will correspond to whatever size and position you chose.
