You can change your password from the account settings page on dropbox.com. Once you make this change, the new password will automatically apply to any computers or mobile devices linked to your account.
Change your password on dropbox.com
- Sign in to dropbox.com.
- Click your or avatar at the top of any page.
- Select Settings.
- Select the Security tab.
- In the Password section, click Change password.
Reset your password
If you forgot your password, visit the forgot password page on dropbox.com and enter your email address. An email will be sent with a link you can use to reset your password.
Using the Dropbox desktop application
If you use the Dropbox desktop app, you'll only need your password in two scenarios:
- When you first install the Dropbox desktop app
- Whenever you link or relink your computer to your Dropbox account
Dropbox Business users
If you're signed in to both a personal and work account at once, you'll see a section in the Security tab for each account.
