Role Description

In this role, you will lead a team of Product Analysts to use data to enable better decision-making for the Dropbox Paper organization. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, marketing and research leadership to demonstrate data to guide both strategic and operational product decisions. You will be responsible for aligning key analytics projects for you and your team with product roadmaps and ensuring you communicate your insights broadly. Additionally, you will directly own and complete analytics landmarks for a selection of high-priority projects.

Responsibilities

  • You will drive improvements in user engagement and other key metrics with Dropbox Paper using techniques determined by data
  • You will work to develop a product metrics model for your area of the product and continue to refine it through analysis, experimentation and research partnership
  • You will ensure active collaboration between your team and Product, Engineering and Design teams to measure the impact of product launches, including validating logging, defining success metrics, aligning on experimental approaches and communicating metrics impact
  • You will utilize data and analytics to actively pinpoint opportunity areas
  • You will partner cross functionally with other analytics teams to establish a common quantitative perspective on how we understand our products
  • You will deliver key customer and market insights, and be responsible for finding innovative ways to drive positive impact to the Dropbox customer journey
  • You will coach, mentor, and help set strategy for Product Analysts to drive even more impact for the team

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience performing data-informed product analysis in a tech company
  • 2+ years directly leading data scientists, quantitative researchers or product analysts
  • BS/BA in Math, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field
  • Ability to analyze and utilize data to inform decisions
  • Proven ability to directly lead product analysts/data scientists and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
  • Consistent track record of driving directly measurable product or business impact
  • Deep understanding of and empathy for users
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
