Our Marketing team sets product positioning and strategy, manages product launches, and gathers customer insights. We’re responsible for maximizing our products' potential, in order to delight our users and help Dropbox grow. We partner with teams across the company, including Product, Sales, and Engineering.

Role Description

Dropbox is seeking a strategic, analytical, curious and engaging Market Strategy & Operations Sr. Manager to organize and lead the launch of high-profile, complex marketing projects. You will manage requirements and control scope for key initiatives that include (but are not limited to) strategic planning, marketing-wide initiatives, and cross-functional projects. You'll scope the project/ initiative,  track all deliverables, engage stakeholders, and align internal and external teams, all while communicating progress every step of the way. This crucial role requires familiarity with the marketing ecosystem, along with superb strategic planning, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.


  • Lead large and/or complex cross-functional marketing projects, including: ensuring project scope is clearly defined and aligned, creating and maintaining detailed deliverables-based project plans, tracking of milestone progress against the plan, ensuring resources and budget are appropriately assigned, and status updates are regularly communicated to stakeholders
  • Coordinate the work streams for disparate cross-functional teams into a cohesive project plan; proactively identify dependencies, resource conflicts, and bottlenecks and present to decision making stakeholders
  • Lead strategic planning (annual & quarterly) for Marketing function, and lead budgeting and headcount planning
  • Manage Marketing Leadership Team meetings and interface and collaborate comfortably with Senior Leadership across Product, Brand, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and other internal and external teams


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA is preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in marketing and/or project/ program management, with a record of successful cross-functional partnerships
  • Self-starter who is able to work successfully on projects with little guidance, find their own work, and constantly strives to better their work environment
  • Foundational understanding of marketing sub-functions (i.e. product marketing, digital marketing, etc.)
  • Highly organized individual with great attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and project management experience
  • Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and project management tools
  • Ability to present concisely and influence with evidence
