Our engineering team is architecting a family of products that handle over a billion files a day. We take on the complexities of technology that affect everyday life, so that people can get back to living and doing their best work.

Dropbox is frequently targeted by hacker groups who find creative ways to abuse Dropbox and harm our users and our brand. The Abuse Prevention team is responsible for building systems to detect and stop any malicious activity against the product.

We are looking for security-minded engineers who are passionate about building systems to protect our users and brand.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product usage and build algorithms to detect malicious activity
  • Build infrastructure to detect and stop attack activity in real-time
  • Work closely with the product teams to harden product features against the attacks
  • Advise engineers and teams on security issues; you’ll be involved with every aspect of engineering here at Dropbox!

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong interest in security and attack detection
  • Background in data analysis is a plus
  • Independent and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
