Dropbox for All

Our mission is to make Dropbox a space where everyone can create, share, and collaborate — no matter their abilities, tools, or context.

Accessibility statement

“Dropbox for All” aims to expand the possibilities of who can work together, how they can contribute, and what it means to be part of a team. That means valuing and including the experience of people with varying abilities, using a range of assistive technologies, and in different backgrounds.

Our aim is to craft delightful products that help everyone unleash their full potential. We partner with a third-party accessibility testing service to ensure we deliver on this commitment, measuring against a set of standards set by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Accessibility roadmap

We audit Dropbox products and platforms for accessibility at least once a year. We’re always looking for ways to expand our audit schedule and improve accessibility across the company.

VPATs

We provide VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates) for our core platforms. These documents outline how each platform supports certain accessibility standards like WCAG 2.2 AA. If you need help understanding the VPATs or would like them in another format, contact us.

Download the VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) for any of the core Dropbox products as a PDF.

Information on how we meet European Accessibility Act requirements

We refer to Directive (EU) 2019/882 and the national laws of EU member states which implement it as the European Accessibility Act. The European Accessibility Act requires providers of an “e-commerce service” to publish information on how the service meets accessibility requirements under those laws.

This accessibility statement regarding how we meet European Accessibility Act requirements applies to consumers in the European Union and our ‘e-commerce service’ (which we will call Our Sales Service).

Our Sales Service

Our Sales Service includes the parts of our website and our mobile apps used to purchase or subscribe to any of our billed plans intended for consumers. A ‘consumer’ is any individual acting outside of their trade, business, craft or profession.

How to use our Sales Service

Our websites and apps, including Our Sales Service, are designed to be used by as many people as possible, including persons with disabilities. Our Sales Service has been designed to allow you to:

  • Zoom up to 200% without problems
  • Navigate Our Sales Service using just a keyboard
  • Navigate Our Sales Service using a modern screen reader and speech Recognition software (on your computer, tablet or phone)
  • Change colors, contrast levels, and fonts
  • Use alternative text for images and icons
